Generate GST Collected vs Paid Report as Excel
Prerequisites
- ✓You have recorded GST-applicable transactions in the system
- ✓You have access to the Reports page
- ✓Microsoft Excel or compatible application

Steps
Navigate to Reports
From your dashboard, click on the Reports section in the main navigation. Click on the Tax & Compliance tab.

Select GST Report Type
Select GST Collected vs Paid as your report type.

Select Your Date Range
Choose how to filter your report by date using Quick Select quarters or custom date range.

Review GST Settings
Before generating the report, verify that your GST settings and transaction tags are correct.

Click Excel Button
Now, please find the Excel export button at the bottom of the report generation panel and click on it. Your download will start automatically.

Download and Analyze
Now you can access your downloaded file and use advanced features for detailed GST analysis.

Preview Your GST Excel Report
Your GST Collected vs Paid report is now ready. Open the Excel file to review your GST summary and use it for analysis or share it with your accountant.

Troubleshooting
GST calculation appears incorrect
Ensure all your transactions are properly tagged with the correct tax codes. Verify that GST-applicable items are correctly marked. Check that your tax settings are configured correctly in the system.
Excel File not opening properly
If your file is not opening properly, it might be because you are using an older version of Excel. Please make sure you have Excel 2010 or later. You can also use Google Sheets to open the file online.
Formulas are showing as text
If you see formulas in the text format when you open your report. You can resolve this issue by pressing Ctrl+`` (grave accent) to toggle formula view. Please check your Excel settings as well.
Data appears misaligned
If your data appeared misaligned, you can use the 'Format as Table' feature or adjust column widths. Sometimes Excel may need to auto-fit columns.
